TC38 Heavy haulage tyre pressure monitor

TC215T38New system continuously monitors tyre pressure and temperature for up to 38 wheels

This new model is intended for heavy haulage applications, with up to four axles on the truck and six axles on the trailer. For more trailer axles, it could be extended with an additional monitor.

The system uses the standard TyrePal TC series sensors already well proven in use with the TC215 monitor.

A typical system will consist of one TC38 monitor mounted in the cab, sensors on each of the wheels to be monitored and one Smart Transceiver to boost and relay the sensor signals to the monitor.

  1. I run a fleet of HGV’S and Landrov er Discoveries with triple axle 3.5t trailers and am interested in using a monitoring system.

I am away until next week but if you can suggest the best system for the Disco and trailer combination (please note they are not always towing the same trailer) and the best system for our Wagon and Drags which have 12 wheels on trailer and 6 on truck.

    • The best system in both cases would be the TC215, with the relevant number of sensors to cover the number of wheels, and a Smart Signal Repeater for each trailer. The smart repeater will allow easy swapping of trailers between towing vehicles without having to register each sensor to the monitor every time that the trailer is swapped.

Judging from the information provided, I would expect the Land Rover / Trailer combinations to require 10 sensors per complete unit, and the HGVs to need 18 sensors. I would expect that they will need the heavy duty TCSE sensors which read up to 180 psi (the standard TCSB sensors only read up to 99 psi)
